International Tabletop Day 2019 (A Carnival of Games)

Saturday, June 1, 2019 - 10:00am to 8:00pm

Labyrinth Games & Puzzles

645 Pennsylvania Ave SE
Washington, DC 20003

Join us for the 2019 celebration of International Tabletop Day. Each year, Labyrinth joins fellow gamers throughout the world to commemorate and share the joy that tabletop gaming can bring to our communities. We'll have fun and games all day. Meet local game designers; try new games; win great prizes. And, of course, there will be free popcorn and carnival games! This year we are thrilled that the SE Library will be joining us in the celebration, and will be allowing us to use their community room for even more gaming space!

The schedule of events is beginning to come together.

10am to 12pm  - Family Fun with local game designers. Dia Michels, publisher of the One Minute Mysteries series among other awesome educational books, Dr. Catherine Croft, head of the STEM focused game company Catlilli Games, and Jim Moran, game designer of Election Night, a fantastic game of math and social studies, will be onsite playing games and having tons of family fun. We'll be featuring a bunch of ways to stay smart all summer while having a great time! This will be a perfect event for kiddos of all ages.

12pm to 2pm - Play Cats of Catthulhu with designer Joel Sparks. Go here for more details and to reserve a seat at the table:

12pm to 4pm - Meet Elizabeth Hargrave, game designer of the insanely hot (and now, Kennerspiel-nominated) game, Wingspan. Elizabeth will be showing off her newest game, Tussie Mussie, and she's also happy to teach Wingspan. We probably still won't have copies of Wingspan, but you can add your name to the backorder list. Elizabeth is an amazing person and an incredibly talented game designer.

12pm to 5pm - Opening gaming and demos at the SE Library downstair's community room.

1pm to 5pm - Meet Jason Matthews, game designer of the award-winning game, Twilight Struggle. The FiveThirtyEight blog once referred to this game as the "Best Board Game on the Planet". Jason will be playtesting a new game with a working title of Treason Trial of Aaron Burr. He will also be happy to talk and/or autograph any of his other games.

2pm to 4pm (at SE Library, downstairs) - Play the upcoming Sentinel Comics RPG with one of its creators, Dave Chalker! Go here for more details and to reserve a seat at the table:

Representatives from ThinkFun and North Star Games will also be on hand to showing off their latest hit games. Time still TBD.

More events will be added in the coming days so stay tuned!

We've got a ton of sweet games and promos for the annual raffle too!

This is a free, family-friendly event.
